What to say about Susan and Tyler? I met them at a bridal show back in January and immediately knew that they would be a great fit for Sophie Films. They are a classy couple!
Their wedding was held on August 14th at Coulter Lake Guest Ranch outside Rifle, Colorado. It’s a pretty remote spot and the surrounding countryside is gorgeous. When people think of Colorado, they should think of places like this. Peaceful, rustic, beautiful. It was an ideal setting for the wedding.

“Stunning” is the word I would use to best describe this wedding. Everything from the dress and the details to the love that Misty and Patrick share – it was all absolutely stunning!
Misty and Patrick were married at the luxurious Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park. It was a beautiful day on August 8th and this was the perfect venue for this incredible wedding.

Yesterday morning, I met up with Susan and Tyler at Cheesman Park in Denver for a quick engagement portrait session. They are a really fun couple and we had a good time shooting around in the morning sunlight. Their wedding is right around the corner but luckily we were able to meet up before the big day. It’s going to be an awesome wedding. Enjoy the pics!

Trissi and Brent had a beautiful morning wedding this past weekend at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge in Estes Park, Colorado. There were all sorts of fabulous touches to their event — from a distinguished Ford Model A getaway car to an incredible wedding cake that looked like it stretched from floor to ceiling.
Most importantly, though, this couple is in LOVE! Brent had a sneak peek of his bride-to-be before the ceremony when he was presented with a portrait of Trissi in her wedding dress. His reaction is one I won’t soon forget — it literally took his breath away.

My blog is horribly out-of-date, but that is all about to change…starting with Rick and Marie’s Sneak Peek!
It was a chilly, rainy, wet Saturday at Dunafon Castle for Rick and Marie’s wedding. The funny thing was, though, the weather didn’t seem to dampen the atmosphere. If anything, I would say the weather enhanced it. Rick and Marie had a really fun crowd on hand and nothing was going to keep them from having a good time. It was an exceptional event, and I was honored to be a part of it.

Ellis Ranch is a unique country venue on the west side of Loveland. On Thursday evening, they hosted a “Couples Party” where many of their preferred vendors were on display for brides and grooms to see. They had a very good turnout for the event with some fun prizes, cool decorations and even multiple dove releases. Special thanks go out to the crew at Ellis, the awesome vendors, and all of the wonderful couples who visited.
Since this was a donated video project with a limited shelf life, I decided to have some fun with it and throw out the preconceived notions of a country venue. While there’s no mistaking Ellis’ rustic charm, there are all sorts of classy little touches around the grounds. On a night with so many amazing vendors on display, it seemed like a good opportunity to shift the paradigm slightly and emphasize the classy side of Ellis Ranch.

A few weeks ago, Peak Impact was contacted by Loveland Habitat for Humanity to produce a video of the 2010 Hard Hat fundraising gala. Tina and I have long been supporters of Habitat and Peak Impact was honored to donate our services for this important cause. I would like to thank Rob Smith at www.robadvertising.com for the referral!
The Loveland Habitat website begins with, “Everyone deserves a decent and affordable place to live. Give someone a chance and the world changes. Transformation begins as a dream becomes reality. The end of poverty starts here. It’s the Power of Heart, Hope and Home.” Ending poverty and providing decent housing is an important mission and, in my opinion, perhaps no organization has done more to make that dream a reality than Habitat for Humanity and their generous donors and volunteers.
The 7th Annual Hard Hat Gala was held April 10, 2010. The theme was “Voyage to Africa” and they auctioned some amazing items, including a wine tasting trip to Napa, Bruce Springsteen autographed guitar and even an African safari. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit Africa, but most of the funds will stay in the Loveland/Ft. Collins area to benefit local families in need of help.

Joni and Dan are an amazing couple…and their wedding was a perfect reflection of that. We started getting to know them with an E-Session video and photo montage, which can be viewed on the Sophie Films website. Seeing them together, it was clear that their wedding would be no ordinary affair.
Our coverage started with the rehearsal and dinner, then continued the next day with preparations and we stayed with them until the end of the night. The ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in downtown Ft. Collins and then continued at Seton Hall. Although, you wouldn’t know it was Seton Hall. Their designer completely transformed it into a tropical oasis, complete with palm trees, wild orchids and a bamboo canopy spanning the dance floor. The Hall was wrapped in linen and accent lighting. It was a complete escape and became its own world contained within itself. Complete strangers became friends and that spirit carried over into an incredible party.
For anyone who was lucky enough to be there, it was an event that will always be remembered. Hopefully, we captured just a slice of it in Joni and Dan’s Epic Film:
